No one should have to pay a fee to make a friend, so we offer free membership to any mother within the community who wishes to join. Members gain camaraderie and support through an online forum that is available 24 hours a day and events around the area where mothers can meet face-to-face and develop real friendships that can last a lifetime.

KeyWestMommies.com developed from Site Administrator Leigh Smith's personal need to make local connections after moving to Key West with two children and being so far from friends and family. She wanted a way to meet and get to know moms in her area and get their kids together for some informal playtime, as well as to share the experience of visiting local attractions such as parks and museums. After being a Member and Military Mod for FayettevilleMommies before moving to FL Leigh knew she had to turn to The Mommies Network to get a site started down here for all of the KW moms.

We chat online in a private forum - discussing everything from the best photographers to the worst temper tantrums and all that lies between - and meet-up regularly at member-driven events around town. Whether it's a late night commiseration on a crying baby (there are 4 am posts to prove it) or a Mom's Night Out, KeyWestMommies provides what our members need, when and how they need it.

But KeyWestMommies is more than just a community of moms. It's moms in and for the community. Our members work full time, stay home full time, work part time, represent many races, are pregnant for the first time, are adoptive moms, were adopted themselves, recently moved to the area, have lived here all our lives, have twins, are happy with one, are single moms, are searching out schools and have watched their kids graduate. In other words, we are a reflection of mothers in the real world. And we help out our neighbors as much as ourselves through organized fundraisers and other charity events - specifically those focused on providing for mothers and their children.
